Pine’s honey is constitutes the 65% of honey production in Greece. It comes from marchalina’s hellenica honey dew/secrations known as “Vamvakada” or “worker” and it is collected from August to October.
Nutritive value
It is honey with high nutritive value due to the large number of substances that coexist in its composition, with a special place to occupy the large number of trace elements (calcium, potassium, magnesium,s odium, iron, zinc).
Colour – taste
It has brown colour , with special taste and special aroma. Some liken it to the scent of iodine.
Crystallisation
Pure pine berries crystallise over 18 months.Mixing with honey from flowers from 2 to 5 months.
