Thyme’s honey is considered and is excellent quality because of its excellent taste and aroma. It is collected mainly on the islands but also in many areas of mainland Greece, usually from the end of May to early July and is 10% of Greek honey production.
Place of collection
Kea, South Evvia, East Attica.
Relatively low fructose and glucose content.
It’s rich in trace elements and minerals.
It has antiseptic and tonic properties and is recommended for the prevention and treatment of digestive and respiratory diseases.
Colour – taste
It has an open amber colour, pleasant aroma and taste.
